Energy Efficient Scotland is set to run over the next 20 years and with an investment of over £10bn. It will run over several administrations, impact numerous government portfolios, and various levels of government. It will influence and operate within Scottish, UK and international legislative frameworks.
The Existing Homes Alliance Scotland and others have argued that this ambitious and complex programme requires the development of a national body tasked with its oversight, with sufficient capacity to ensure an effective framework for the delivery of such a wide range of agencies, policies and programmes.
